Instead of waiting for meds to kick in now have my phone set to 3 1/2 hours so he doesn't have to be in pain or discomfort. This system has been working. Instead of laying there, he goes back to sleep again. It seems more important to us during the night that we do this. During the day with moving around it's easier with less meds...
