Hi to be honest you have both automatically calmed me by passing the 12 week stage congratulations to you both. We either of you given any advise or tips of things to do as I have been told I have a higher rate of miscarriage because of these conditions. Thank you so much x

My sister has endemetriosis and suffers with ovarian cysts. Doctors said it was unlikely she'd be able to get pregnant an if she did probably wouldn't be able to carry it. She went for a pre op and found out she was pregnant and my nephew is now 4. She still has problems but my nephew is fine hope this helps a little!

Hi Sarahp19. I am 38 years old and have suffered from endo since my early 20's. I am 32 weeks pregnant after conceiving naturally. I have not had any complications during the pregnancy so far despite been obese and classed as high risk. I lost weight in the first 3 months purely by eating healthily and have maintained the weight since then so I still weigh less than what I did before I became pregnant. I am enjoying the fact that I have not had any of the pain and IBS associated with endo and actually feel better than I have done in years. My advice to you would be to not worry about things too much, eat healthy and do some gentle excercise. Good luck

Thank you apple75. Congratulations on your pregnancy, mine is a natural conception as well and I am 25 suffered with the endrometiosis since i was 13 and was told I wouldn't fall pregnant but here I am :-D. Thank you again Hun and good luck x

hi Sarahp19, i suffer from pcos and have since my first pregnancy 10yr ago i am now 34wks pregnant. im afraid theres nothing you can do other than stay healthy, i myself have always avoided anything that could put me more at risk. but if the pregnancy is healthy you should be ok. the best thing is not to worry. yes the risk of miscarrage is higher but there is no magic thing to do. good luck and hope everything goes well.

Hi Sarah,

I too was aware that the risk of miscarriage with Endometriosis was higher and was a little concerned. All I can tell you is that I have had a very easy pregnancy. No sickness, very little aches and pains and I my pregnancy is still considered low risk now. The only things I did do in the first 12 weeks was avoid any heavy lifting and alcohol, had a healthy diet, took vitamin D and calcium and folic acid supplements and had gentle exercise. If you are unsure of exercise to do you can go to free NHS Birthfity classes local to you. Just google it. The person running the class will be experienced in antenatal and prenatal exercise, you take your pregnancy notes along and they weigh you and a midwife checks them. My Endo is on the bowel and bladder and I had excision and ablation for it 8 years ago. One thing I can tell you is that the joy of not having to suffer from period pains has been an added benefit during the pregnancy! Try to relax and not worry too much. I'm sure you will remain healthy throughout.
