tinted discharge

i am 13 wks 2 days. just noticed today when i wipe myself that there is a tinted discharge it looks like blood, is this normal?

Hello,

Anything that makes you concerned is worth a chat with your midwife or GP. I wouldn't want to say if it's normal or not.

I had a very minor bleed around week 14 (tinged red discharge on one wipe) and was so glad that I contacted my GP straightaway. He booked me for a scan that morning and baby was having a great time cutting a rug in my uterus and all was fine internally and the bleed likely to have been cervical erosion in my case. Hope you get some reassurance from someone medically trained.

I had that at 8 weeks with my first when I wiped myself and got really paranoid about it, it was nothing to worry about, unless you are bleeding heavy with pains then I would be concrened but if it is just abit of different coloured discharge then it is normal. I know how you feel though as anything that appears to be different you feel panicky if you are really worried then just speak to your midwife to put your mind at rest.

Hi there huni, something similar happened to me. I had tinted discharge from the start, as if my period was due. I had 2 previous miscarriages so I was really scared but I actually bled with those. But please don't panic!!. I'm now 31 weeks pregnant with a goregous baby boy. So try not to worry. ( easier said than done I know ). I had tinted discharge up until about 15 weeks. If your worried ask your midwife or GP huni. But if there's no actual bright red blood... A lot of it.... And no pain I wouldnt worry too much. Hope this helps xx
