Hi,

I have the same problem my nearly 3months baby. I combine feed mine so I stick to the bottle whenever possible, both formula and expressed breast milk. The only issue is he doesn't like the bottle unless he slept longer and wokenken up hungry. Mine doesn't even like it even when I feed him on his side or on top of me. The pediatrician advised me to express until the flow slows down then feed the baby. I noticed it is better that way x

Has your little one always preferred feeding this way? My first fed like this only for the first month and my 2nd will only feed like this when distressed or tired. I found with my first that we kept practising other positions and we used a breastfeeding pillow to help keep her at the right height. It's easier for them to line themselves up right when laying down and they can get frustrated that the milks not coming out right. Sadly for us it was just practice and they get better and you get better. Go back to the basics of making sure lined up properly. Try different positions when not super hungry or tired. We can still get one on one help through video calls here which might be useful to check nothing is obviously wrong if how you are doing the other breastfeeding positions. It's hard but it does keep getting easier as they get bigger and can position themselves more.
