Hey. I rarely gave my daughters any anti-colic drops. Preferably u shudnt be giving more than 0.5 ml for baby weight under 5 kgs in 12 hrs. I found using hing/asafoetida mix with water and adding a drop of coconut oil and massaging near naval and abdomen more beneficial in Long term. I used to leave the mixture on the skin as I make a watery mix not concentrated paste. It really helped and had to used twice in last 3 months. Keep ur baby free from swaddling that way ur baby will move his/her legs and release gas.

Hey I used to take less than 1/4 th teaspoon hing and with the same spoon add normal room temperature water and few drops of coconut oil.

I would just follow the advice they give, a dose before a feed for several days.

From their websites :

Your Baby

Infacol is simple to give – even when your baby is crying. The normal dose is one dropper full (0.5ml) given before each feed for several days, but don’t worry if you forget one or more doses.

First shake the bottle

Draw up one dropper full by squeezing the bulb twice, wiping any excess Infacol off the outside of the dropper back into the bottle

To administer the dose squeeze the bulb and release the liquid onto the back of your baby’s tongue.

Infacol has a progressive effect, which means that it should be given to your baby for several days to achieve the best results. If your baby’s colic hasn’t improved after three to four days you can increase the dosage to two droppers full (1ml).

If symptoms do not improve or get worse, contact your health visitor or family doctor for advice.

Hi there, we gave it before each feed (breastfeeding).

The colic did get better after he was about 3 months old - hang in there!

I’m sure the infacol helped, though people do doubt it. Also a vibrating bouncer seemed to help things move after a feed.

Hi Teddy02,I give my baby 2 droppers full before each feed. He is 10 weeks old, been doing it since he was about 3 weeks old. If you're still struggling and your baby is formula fed, try cow and gate comfort... works a treat!
