Hi ladies, I have had ICP with both my previous pregnancy.s. I was induced at 38 weeks with both my daughter and my son. I am pregnant again 4 weeks. I started getting symptoms around 20 weeks mainly itchy on the soles of my feet and palms of my hands. Tell your GP or Midwife if you have any itching at any time during your pregnancy, it is better to be safe than sorry. I felt very ill from around 32 weeks, very very tired, fed up, just generally unwell. You are however in great hands the NHS are brilliant. There is nothing to worry about if you have been diagnosed with ICP you will be looked after, and there is a bonus, you get to see baby more and hear his/her heartbeat nearly every week Please feel free to ask me anything regarding ICP.

Hi dior718, is ICP to do with a liver condition during pregnancy? I had a midwife appointment yesterday and mentioned that I’m itchy all over and hands and feet. She took some bloods and I get the results at 12 today. I’m 38 + 3 today and she said depending on the results I’d need to be induced which is a bit scary. Is this condition to do with baby or mother? I’d do whatever I need too to make sure baby’s ok. Thanks for your offer of advice!
Hiya it is to do with your liver it only ever happens in pregnancy there is nothing to worry about if your bloods comeback with a high bile then you will be givenmeds and will be under a consultant at your local hospital x
