Hi, I'm nearly 18 weeks and have today felt my tummy to be sore and feel odd. The pain is not crippling but is making me worry a bit, ideas?

Hello,

In what way would you say your stomach feels 'odd'? Have you done anything like lifting heavy objects, or overdoing it in other ways?

Pains are normal for a lot of ladies during pregnancy, as your body makes room for the little one! Try not to worry!

I'm sure it's nothing to worry about, but if you're concerned the best thing to do is give your midwife a call :-) X

I had a sore tummy and over 24 hours it got to the point where it was sore to touch...I hardly slept and it doesn't feel right. .. turns out I had an infection and was kept in hospital on an antibiotic drip. .. If u dont feel right then always listen to ur instinct. . Ring ur maternity triage dept they can check u over run ur bloods and make sure everything is ok.. That's what they are there for. .. If they try and put u off stick to ur guns and say ur not happy they can't turn u away xx

First thing to do is call your midwife/doctor for advise. It could just be growing pains from your uterus stretching, ligaments moving, digestive system changes, a variety of things. The best thing is to ask a health care professional, they won't mind and like caution in mums :)
