In the end (after a year of CBT, exercise etc) I started taking meds. I think it's just about finding the right meds and dose for your individual PNI.

I went from 50mg to. 100mg to 150mg Sertraline and only now soni truly see the difference so don't rule it out, discuss your fears with your GP.

If you broke your leg you wouldn't have half a pot put on. Just cause you can't physically see PNI it doesn't make it any less debilitating so please don't feel like taking meds is a bad thing. Do what is right for you and your recovery x

In the beginning I was on Catilopran but that made me feel terrible the thought of having to take something that was going to make me feel worse seemed pointless to me, so with some nudging from my hubby I wend back to the Doc and was but on Fluxotine which i have just had increased from 25 to 50mg as it felt like my system was getting used to it, i am also waiting on councelling.

Have you been put down for any councelling as some people find that more beneficial than pills, I hope you find what is best for you x

Hi

Counselling can make a huge difference. Opening up about yur problems and sometimes changing your thught processes really can put a positive spin on your life.

Unfortunately with Meds it can take several goes to find one that works fr you.do you have a good gp?l what do they think? Don't panic but maybe a referral to psychiatrist might be worth considering given that are the experts, you've been suffering for a while without much improvement and have tried several Meds. A gp is a general doctor so a specialist might be the way forward. Maybe something to talk about with gp?x
