I appear to have a blocked stent. How have others managed to 'unblock' it. I say appear because I just feel it isn't free flowing but how do you actually know????

In the booklet 'Nutrition - Swallowing when it is difficult' downloadable from opa.org.uk/downloads.html

the advice is to stop eating, move around a bit, and try a drink. A fizzy drink might also help to keep it clean. But if it seems blocked for more than three hours, contact your GP or the hospital that fitted it.

Stents can block and it is not unusual for people to have to go to the hospital to have them cleared.

I hope this helps.

All best wishes

Alan
