Sorry EC meaning Oesophageal Cancer

Dealing with the cancer diagnosis, the issue is normally whether it is treatable with chemotherapy and surgery, and the surgery decision takes this into account and the fitness of the patient. I think that in some cases the cancer medics would liaise with their heart colleagues to make a judgement about the best way forward. The anaesthetists tend to look out for heart problems and perhaps adjust their anaesthetics accordingly.

The age profile for normal cancer cases is such that there may well be quite a lot of people who have had to deal with both aspects, but personally I am not aware of anyone in that 35 year age bracket. I imagine that it would, at the very least, increase the fatigue felt through the treatment.
