Hi I know how you feel. I began to think it is just me.I have had about 7 dilation and I am now on temporary stents. I am on my 3rd one which gets removed in2 weeks time. They only stay in for 6 weeks. I had a feeding tube put in again but not there any more.

There has to be an answer but still waiting for that miracle. I have lost more weight. It is now 18 months since I had surgery. With the stent in I can eat all sorts of foods!!!!I wish it could stay.

Sorry but this is all I have re your question.

Hi, I had seven or eight dilations over about eighteen months after my op but never had a feeding tube. I was told it takes time for the scar tissue to settle down and stop tightening but got there in the end and I enjoy all kinds of food now with no swallowing problems.

Best Wishes, James.
