30 weeks pregnant and feel like my st... - Pregnancy and Par...
30 weeks pregnant and feel like my stomach keeps tightening and then i am ok. I am really uncomfortable & have pressure between my legs.
Sounds very much like braxton hicks to me. Everyone describes them slightly differently but I'd say it was like a tightening and hardening all over the bump for 30 secs or so. If they become painful rather than uncomfortable or become regular over a period of time then get checked out but it sounds pretty normal to me.
Alternatively it could just be baby wriggling about - the pressure down below could certainly be caused by him/her squirming downwards x
Hi Muffin I have the same problem and v bad pressure down below,it started as early as 16 weeks, the MW said unless it's regular and gets stronger and doesn't go away after walking or resting then it's just Braxton Hicks and as this my 4th baby I can easily differentiate between Braxton hicks and real contractions. Hang in there it's just your uterus getting ready
Hey, I can totally relate! I agree with the other 2 comments, it sounds a lot like Braxton Hicks & everyone experiences them differently so it's nothing to be alarmed about. Also the pressure is pretty normal as he or she is just getting bigger every week so space becomes limited and I was told by my Midwife at 35 weeks that my baby's head is now fully engaged which is why I sometimes feel unbearable pressure and stabbing pains as it is his head grinding on my pelvis. Just hang in there! You may find yourself starting to waddle soon, I always promised myself I wouldn't, but you soon realise it's unavoidable.
Good Luck with your pregnancy! X
