I had this type of migraine when I took the combined pill over 20 years ago? I,m not allowed estrogen now because I get migraine with aura. Are you taking any hormones?

I think you should go doctors immediately. Even if the symptoms have faded you need this on record just Incase.

The reason I'm saying this is because my migraines are the type where they have to take precautions due to my stroke like symptoms...and I'm only 28. So what I'm saying is- make sure the docs can definately rule out signs of stroke.

How old are you? Could be menopause that brought your migraines back?

Julia, it could be that you are entering peri-menopause. My migraines returned at 44 as estrogen levels dropped. I hadn't had one since about 20 yrs old. It was told by the specialists that it's the FLUCTUATION of estrogen, ie. the drop, that causes the recurrence of migraine. Taking estrogen (HRT) has eased the migraines, although it is a fine balancing act, getting it right, taking the progesterone element of HRT to avoid endometrial build-up can trigger migraine too in some women. Good luck with it. Migraine is a hideous thing. I too was so disappointed when it make its ghastly reappearance.
