Hi blueuy,

How are you doing? I really hope you are feeling better? I've been thinking about you since this now month-old post!

I wanted to let you know that I've spent the last 6 months aggressively looking for effective treatments and solutions for my daughter's chronic migraine. I am not 100% sure yet, but I think we've found a treatment plan that's working and we're headed in the right direction. I'll just say I've been relentless and I am going to encourage you to be utterly relentless, too. There are surprising combinations of things that do the trick. I am part of a support group on facebook for parents of kids with migraines and the combos of things that people finally get to work are all so different. (BTW kid treatment for migraine is essentially the same as for adults). Here are several examples of formulas for success

***All formulas include the basic foundation of: Good sleep/wake schedule, regular exercise, decent/healthy diet, good posture, Overall stress reduction in life as much as possible, excellent hydration, Riboflavin supplementation (talk to doc first about that)**

Formula 1: Biofeedback + Botox every 12 weeks + therapy with a pain specialist (yes therapy helps!) + triptan and aleve for acute pain

Formula 2: accupunture + CGRP inhibitor + eliminating dairy from diet + antihistamine and reglan for acute pain

Formula 3: regular osteopath visits + Cephaly device + magnesium, eliminating sugar from diet + beta blocker + CBD oil + tripan and toradol and compazine for acute pain

etc etc

The combinations and multidisciplinary approaches are endless. It seems people need several different approaches to find their winning combo.

I really hope you are feeling better! post an update soon?

PS this is a great forum but the facebook forums for migraine are much more active...
