I have been given advice when suffering with menopause symptoms after hysterectomy. I thought I was going mad but having other to talk to and support me through it has really helped and it enabled me to speak to a menopause specialist and get the correct hrt for me.
I think it helps to see other woman who can relate to you struggle. I felt so alone and almost crazy but reading other women's experiences helped me see that my struggles, in many cases, were not only minimal, but common. More needs to be done to educate women on the perimenopausal/menopausal transition but until that happens, the best place to seek answers, solutions, understanding and comfort is from others experiences. Thank you ladies.
Tbh i wasnt aware of when i needed
hiya! I'm a lurker and a reader. i often don't know how to simplify things in my head to write down what's going on. comorbidity queen, ha ha!
but I've been able to find ways to talk about what's going on with me by reading how other people talk about what's going on with them.
that's priceless to me.
i was enabled by you folks to ask for hrt from my gp so that we could see if any thing i was going through was peri related (I'm 52 now and had a uterine ablation about seven years ago so haven't had periods to go by) and that wouldn't have happened without ya. that helped rheumatology enough that i have a quasi diagnosis, enough to allow for a treatment to start and narrow down what kind of connective disorder may be happening.
i also have a fourteen year old who is raging through his own set of hormones and things. conversation is vital. I've been able in the past year to make conversation that he's comfortable with.
priceless.
thank you.
