Have any parents been granted Essential Care giver status for their adult children living in a care home?

I believe my friend Has for her daughter as her mental health was deteriorating so much they felt they had to.

Thank you for posting the link, I was going to suggest people look at the Rights for Residents web site. I am in the process of appealing the negative decision given by the care home. I wish to ensure that I am never again excluded from seeing my son.
