The support my husband and I received when he was going through treatment for melanoma was so important emotionally and clinically. Knowing that other people had survived the disease gave us hope and their knowledge about the condition gave us practical assistance. We learned about new treatments and how to get them. Ultimately, my husband overcame metastatic melanoma because he was able to get into a clinical trial for what was then a new drug--Keytruda.
