In the beginning it was the internet, of course. That was not always the best place to find useful information and we found that out pretty quickly. My research nurse was very helpful to us during the months I was in the trial. After that, I was finally introduced to Kathy at Save Your Skin and have used the resources from their site on occasion. I think what feels like it helped me the most was the get-togethers with others that had Melanoma. A LOT of great information is passed around at those meetings.

Good Day and thanks for being here. Good thought starters and conversation generators. Id have to say that in the dire moment after my second occurrence of melanoma, the oncologist closed my folder in front of me and said, Go home and get your affairs in order. There is nothing that I can do for you. That was Jun/09.

That event prompted me to call SaveYourSkin and get direction for what I should do. It was the most beneficial and useful information that I got thorough my journey with melanoma.
