Well, obviously the best thing about my medication was that it worked! I was in an immunotherapy clinical trial (Ipilimumab now known as Yervoy) and from my understanding I was the last person in and the last person out of that trial. I had previously been in a trial taking Temozolomide which was absolutely brutal on my body, mind and spirit. Ipi (Yervoy) incomparison was an absolute dream to take. I was tired and developed some auto-immune reactions but other than that could lead a relatively normal life.

I have been disease-free since 2007 and have not had a treatment since 2011, but still notice some lingering side effects. I'll take that over the alternative, though!

I did not take any medication. My treatment was the WLE and removal of 10 lymphnoids which came back clear. My only challenge during reocovery was fluid build up in the incision in my ground whoch was drained.
