How long did it take for a diagnosis of ALD or AMN to be made?

But that was 25 years ago! I was first diagnosed with HSP - hereditary spastic paraplegia. The VLCFA test had only just come out and become available around about the time of the HSP diagnosis. So a year or two later I was offered the VLCFA test and that confirmed the AMN diagnosis.
