me also - BW....about nowhere to comment! I also don't know anything specific except that I'm still waiting for answers and an end to the never ending MRI's and blood tests all conducted by French healthcare system. Coping with health care issues in French is almost impossible. Blood test tomorrow - mri and another blood test next week. and see an onco-haemo consultant (new one) week after those tests. Cancer has been ruled from previous tests, scans, and mri's.
Good luck with all the tests. My diagnosis was confirmed by a liver biopsy but all the blood tests had already been pretty conclusive as they showed up antibodies. I now also have SLE (lupus), unfortunately, but the immunosuppressant drugs seem to be working, for now at any rate.
Which immunosuppressant drugs are you taking. i am told that i will probably be on prednisone and imurant.....
Yes I think a potential liver Biopsy was mentioned a while ago, when I saw a different specialist and before these latest tests. I don't know what Lupus is so will look it up, but your news on the immunosuppressants is sounding good. What have you been prescribed? How long ago was your biopsy. I hope you don't mind me asking.

I would think this means hepatitis genotype 1b - There are five main genotypes. From what understand it is thought that the virus has mutated over time so 1b is likely to be one of the earlier mutations. It is also the most common genotype in Europe.
I'm just a patient but have researched hepatitis pretty thoroughly. It's relevant in terms of which treatments offered and how long the treatment will last.
I have autoimmune hepatitis too diagnosed last week by blood tests showing increasingly abnormally elevated liver enzymes & to be confirmed by liver biopsy next week. But the antibodies suggest autoimmune hepatitis. I already have autoimmune thyroiditis (hashimotos) under-active thyroid, have had this for the last 8 years. Would like to find up to date chat forum on autoimmune hepatitis but can't find it.

Have autoimmune hep. I would just like to hear about people with same problem like mine. Took prednisone for six weeks and taking imuran 50 mg still almost going to be a year. Feeling kind of tired, a little yellow skin and not hungry due to pain under rib and feeling bloated and burping alot a couple of days now.
