Hi rachida, hope youre doing ok. treatments given are effective for all genotypes. Different meds, different lengths of treatment for different genotypes and depending on ones liver health etc. Do you know which you are yet? 😍😍

Yes I was the same. Once you get the geno type and fibroscan things move swiftly, feeling fine is a good sign as symptoms come on the longer one has it or if any damage to liver. So don't worry too much but eat as well as you can etc. I don't know how long I've had it and never will but the guess is 30 plus years due to possible infection during hospital, operation etc. any stress do message as it helps to offload. 😍

I was told by the specialist mine 3a was easier to treat and most people on combination treatments seem to have 1 a or b.have they told you yet what yours is?

I was also told back in 2005 mine was the easiest to treat geno 3a things have changed with the newer drug combinations. Geno 1 Which was once more difficult to shift can now also be successfully treated. Try not to worry especially if your yet to find out. Best wishes ❤️

Hi

I had genotype 1 which is meant to be the worst. However after 12 weeks treatment on Zepatier my Hep was gone. In fact after 2 weeks my viral load had dropped from 75 parts per million down to 35 parts. Within about 5-6 weeks there was no trace. Also i had NO side effects whatsoever. However I've been ill with various things including pneumonia and bad chronic sinusitis. Good luck with your treatment.. Xxx
