I try to verify the information that I see but it can be hard. There is so much information that is just wrong!

Agreed! It can be especially tough in this era of "fake news" and viral posts on social media. How do you usually verify the information you find?

I try to find reputable sites (like Mayo Clinic, Johns Hopkins or US Government health site for medical stuff). The other stuff I try to find reputable sites to confirm or deny what I am seeing or hearing.

Hi Nate, I will research information that I am unsure of and ask questions. I have a great source of medical professionals. My son is a Dentist, two of his friends are physicians, one of my BFF is a Nurse practitioner and her husband a MD, another friend is a RN who has RRMS, another a pharmacist; my future daughter in law is a yr from completing Physical therapy. When i need answers, I access them, and their networks of professionals.

Wow -- sounds like you've got an incredible support network! I love seeing health education take place at the family/community level.

I am pretty much in the somewhat confidential area. I try to read on topics of uncertainty , but sometimes it is difficult when there are two points of view. If it is an advertisement for a treatment or medication, I am more skeptical unless I am aware of the medication's reliability.
