What do you expert PMP graduates think of this?

This annoying virus has meant that there have been no face-to-face pain management programmes for the past six weeks and it's uncertain when they will be started again. The staff at the PMP have been looking into online resources and it would be really helpful to hear your views on some of them. These resources aren't expected to be a replacement for a PMP, but may be used in preparing people, whilst they wait for services to be resumed, or if this goes on for a long-time, part of a more comprehensive package of resources that we may develop.

Retrain pain is one such online resource and it includes a series of presentations. We are particularly interested in what you think of the first presentation, on understanding the science of pain. Here's the link: retrainpain.org

Thanks, Martin

Hi Martin, I hope this finds you and yours all well and coping.

Just had a look at this, very informative, easily understood I think, I'm not sure if it is because the PMP is still fresh in my head having only completed in Feb. plus I've been reading over my worksheets, refreshing things in my head; it is extremely helpful at this point in time.

Been suffering a lot of what I think they would say is "Fibro Fog", finding it hard to concentrate, focus, keep track and engage; flare up galore, which I am sure you are hearing a lot about at the moment. I am putting it all down to the unavoidable stress we are all under there fore like the situation, it will be temporary; perhaps prolonged, but temporary.

I am filling my better days with the restricted enjoyable things available.

My husband suffers from Sciatic Pain, I am going to have him look at it and get his opinion. I'll let you know what he thinks.

Kindest regards

Thanks Fibroska for that helpful review and I'd be really interested in hearing your husband's views, also.

I think everyone is finding concentrating that bit harder in the current situation. It's like, whatever one tries to do, there's this 'thing' lurking on the edge of our attention and it's so easy to get distracted.

Best wishes, Martin

Hi Martin,

I've had a look at this and think it is pretty concise, easy to understand and follow.

Yes I think this will be helpful to those awaiting the PMP. It will perhaps give them some insight to some of the helpful information and help they hopefully may get, once we get some form of new normal in our lives.

Hope you, the family and the other PMP staff are all well and keeping safe.

Best regards,
