Bleeding after sex

Hello, I’m 31 and have my smear test next week but for the last 2 months I’ve been bleeding after sex and having irregular periods. I’m currently on Cerezette. Bleeding after sex, no pain during or after but it’s straight away when I’ve got up to go to the toilet I see bright red blood and can last 3/5 days. Sometimes google isn’t the best place to look at symptoms because now I’m really worried. This time it has actually been painful with lower back pain and I feel like I have a constant dead shoulder. September cycle was strange, I had a period 3 times but now I’m thinking about it was this just because of having sex. The bleeding doesn’t feel like regular periods and it’s only this time my partner noticed when he noticed in his briefs.. It’s scary because (tmi) the blood is bright Red with varied sized clots and it’s very heavy coming through my underwear whilst wearing a pad or tampax. The last 2 days Ive been feeling a uncomfortable pain in the lower right of my stomach. I’ve had irregular bleeding in the past, well ever since I’ve had my son beforehand my periods stopped. I just don’t know whether to call the doctor or just wait until my smear but I don’t want to be bleeding or have it and then bleed. I just feel drained and overly tired. I’ve dropped just over a stone in the last month but I think that’s because I’ve gone off certain foods and eating less and I’m been off dairy for 3 weeks.

Sorry for the long essay and thank you for reading, has anyone had this before? I don’t even know if I should take a pregnancy test as I fell pregnant before whilst on Cerezette but the bleeding isn’t spotting so I’m unsure.

Thanks in advance :)
