Hi guys

Just wondering if your Fibromyalgia giving you trouble remember things?

Asking cos I missed twice an appointment, and also drove through by ignoring the signage of the road but even then I also couldn’t remember why I drove on that day. Also lot of small stuff I forget quickly and then few days later I either remember again but often in different vision and then I am unsure if it’s has really happened at all.

I have booked an appointment with my doctor... so wait and see... hopefully it is not dementia or alzheimer?! Sigh...

Hi BKosi - Unfortunately, the memory issue, called Fibro Fog, is pretty common for most of us. I think for me at least, there are 1000 notes around the house and in my purse. I use Outlook calendar and tasks to remind me of things I need to do and when. I haven't had the issue with driving - that sounds a little scary if you aren't seeing the road signs. It would be easy to T-Bone someone. Glad that you are going to talk to your doc about this. There may be something that they could prescribe that might help. There are also alternative therapies - like eating pure organic, raw coconut oil every day. Let us know what they doc says

Hi, indeed fibro fog is a classic fibro issue I feel that I am away with the fairies on many days! I take the view of going with the flow as,it is what it is. Driving may be an aspect of the fog, if you have a fibro practitioner at your local hospital perhaps you give them a call for advice, it is difficult to consult as not all GPs are familiar with all fibro symptoms.

Take care

Thank you for confirming but I still will ask the doctors about that. I want to make sure that isn’t dementia or alzheimer. If isn’t those then I can relax and blame everything on Fibro Fog. 😉

Anyway, I am just trying to be positive and not let that get to me. It’s hard but I believe we all can do that. Even those ignorant people who haven’t got the clue.

I was diagnosed with fibro in 1999. I do have the brain fog & issues with memory. I have been "lost" sitting at a stop sign on a road I've driven all my life. Wasn't sure where I was nor where I was going. I'm on Cymbalta but it doesn't help with this kind of thing. It's truly scary. As far as memory, my husband stays upset with me for forgetting both little & major things. I pray daily for a cure...

Omg ,this is so me..my memory is Awful and its depressing. I ask for an appointment cards and forgot where I put them, I said I'll write it on my calendar on my phone and forgot to write it down, I was driving in a area, that I lived in 40 plus years, and the area ,all of a sudden became unfamiliar to me and I was lost for a sec.I just cried, it was stressful, what gives with this memory thing, I dont want dementia or any of that..I gotta fix this..so many people depend on me !!

It’s the typically Fibro Fog that make us like that.
