Are there any support groups in East Yorkshire. More people need support and also awareness must be made for these unfortunate children.

Bless them, they cannot help themselves. or understand it either. Life can be a nightmare for everyone until understanding their turmoil. Have dealt with our grandchild for six years and watched the different levels of this illness. Help and support must be made available to full time carers and these children.

I am sure lots of us would agree with you. There is patchy provison round the country. Where I live theres very little and professionals are clueless and label parents as the problem or attachment disorder.

Yes it is postcode lottery. Your nearest group is Leeds, but one is being planned for York. There is also a training day in Leeds on 20 March with Dr Raja Mukherjee. drop a note to events@fasdtrust.co.uk for info
