I had no warning not many do ,just before got pins and needles I said I think I,m having stroke then I did !

my first 1 was when i was 48, the second 1 at 54. both no warning and both left side brain. left me short term memory lose.

was in hospital for 9 months and am now in nursing home I spent 2 months in rehab and am walking now with a frame only short distances but I want to home really but my husband cant take of me so until I get stronger ! Are you in touch with Stroke Ass they have helped me a lot

no, not in touch with any 1 regarding stroke. have other health issues. x

that's a shame they really helped me and I,m a course at the moment for 6 weeks I do quizzes and they talk about things you are interesting in ,its a communication course

i went to speach therapy for a year. was bk at them last wk as having bother swallowing and they said the strokes could have damaged the muscles in them. just waiting now for a scan of throat x

Its very hard recovery from a stroke a long and slow progress isn't it

im lucky as apart from the brain(muddled up) the only other sign ive had of 2 strokes is my right leg gives way when im tired. im supposed to use crutches and i don't.
