Why is my husband's stomach growling so loudly when he's not hungry? It started a couple of days ago. Any Parkie's have this issue?

Happens to me all the time. I can't say it's been that way since I was diagnosed with PD 15 years ago, but since I have been married (Aug 2011) my wife has heard it a lot and always asks if I am hungry. Usually, like your husband, I am not.

Medication can cause digestive problems, Chronic Constipation could be a problem

if it continues see the Doc.

Looking back which can be difficuly sometimes lol .. I think my husband grumbly rumbly tummy was making the sounds even before he went onto any meds . he is taking Sinemet /rotigotine patches ..It would usually start first thing in the morning once he had had his first drink of water .. Because of that I think it is to do with the Parkinsons...

At the moment he is have a lot of trouble with passing a lot of windy water . The GP has prescribedMOVITAL . So glad you have posted this message was about to do the same thing ..

My husband never ever had a constipation problem before Parkinsons . His toilet habits was never something I was ever aware of or concerned me ..

So glad you have posted this message I was about to do just the same thing , BUT , have been busy goibng back and fore the LOO. with him .. lol Well it's no good crying is it ..

My Dr. told me it was the medication, probably from constipation. Put me on a stool softener and growling has gone away, and less frequent constipation.

I find it happens after taking tablets, which I always take with plenty of water. I think it's to do withn the amount of water. Re constipation, plenty of fruit and veg. if possible. Dried apricots are good, and granny's old standby, prunes, dried or tinned.
