Auricular acupuncture to stimulate the vagus nerve.

I find the idea of a therapy that helps to balance the vagal nerve very attractive as stress and anxiety are a major issue for me, my symptoms are very responsive to stress and my most unpleasant OFF symptom is dystonia of the diaphragm affecting breathing

As for auricular stimulation, my GP is trained in acupuncture and occasionally we do auricular acupuncture (ie the placement of little needles on key locations on the ear, where they stay for 2-3 weeks) so I asked her to place the needles in the locations linked to the vagal nerve . I did feel more calm when the needles are in. I've tried it twice so far. I had a major stress episode about a month ago, I need to check whether the needles were in or out.

Anyone else done anything similar ?

Check out AVA: A Vagal Adventure (FB group) and Dopamine Dunking. I use the Medfit Combi.

I dont know much about this, but I did see Kirk Gibson mention manually stimulating his nerve pathways which helps him. youtu.be/XzCwL4purFg?t=222
