Scientists from the Complutense Universit... - Cure Parkinson's
Scientists from the Complutense University of Madrid have found, after a four-year study, that Ayahuasca is capable of forming neurons
"When applying the treatment in humans, the drug would have to be administered with inhibitors of this enzyme so that the DMT reaches the brain and, in addition, with a hallucinogenic receptor antagonist to avoid these side effects, the scientists insist."
Oh no thank you, I will gladly take the side effect with the medicine.
I thought I had seen Ayahuasca recently: Woman, 29, took her own life after 'suffering psychosis from hallucinogenic yoga drugs' EXCLUSIVE: Jennifer Spencer's trip to Peru with her 'healer' boyfriend saw her seek enlightenment by drinking psychoactive brew ayahuasca for Kundalini yoga - but her aunt said she fell into a 'sort of psychosis' mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/w...
Not enough to scare me off.
Looks pretty good.
Here is another link: Neuroprotective potential of Ayahuasca and untargeted metabolomics analyses: applicability to Parkinson's disease 2020 pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/321...
Conclusion: The lower doses of the active samples stimulated neuronal cell proliferation and/or displayed the most efficacious neuroprotection profile, namely by preventing neuronal damage and improving cell viability against 6-OHDA-induced toxicity. Intriguingly, the hydroalcoholic fractions exhibited enhanced neuroprotective effects when compared to other samples and isolated alkaloids. This finding corroborates the significance of a holistic approach. The results demonstrate that Ayahuasca and its base plants have potential applicability for PD treatment and to prevent its progression differently from current drugs to treat PD.
