Just got back from the Grand Canyon.

I spent 5 days at the Canyon and hiked 25 miles in 90 degree heat. I am glad the temp was so mild. It made for a good time. My son was there with his wife and two girls (ages 7 and 9) and they hiked the 25 miles also. Me and my son and my wife had come here 30 years ago and it was great that he brought his family just like we did then. It makes me proud to know that he followed in my foot prints. I did not think i would make back to there again. We did some star gazing also. We were able to see the milky way also.

Never say never just do it.

hi, great story. Thanks, I forget what normal is or could still be.I am a loner overall/ used to do art and merchandising. Now I do Levadopa and Carbidopa.Feeling like a dopa myself. I am in my 8th year and tried a lot of stuff and always think it is me.

In 1956 I was in the Marine Corp and stationed at 29 Palms. I was transferred to an assignment in Japan and decided to take some leave before I went there.

I called United Airlines and they had 3 flights that morning to Chicago. I couldn't make the 9 O'clock flight so I asked about the 10 O'Clock flight but was told that it was a first class flight and cost $120. I asked about the noon flight and they said it was not a first class flight and cost $80. Back in those days the flights were either all first class or standard.

I decided to take the noon flight because of the cost. However I went over to the 10 O'Clock flight to see if they would put me on the plane but no luck.

I watched the plane load. This plane and one from TWA collided over the Grand Canyon. The debris from the crash is still in the canyon. Such is life.

Wow...that's pretty scary. I am a firm believer that when its your time to go, its your time to go. It wasn't your time to go. Chicago is a great city....I hope you enjoyed your visit.

One thing I have learned about PD is that it makes people emotional and reactive at times. Let's take everyone where they are at for that moment. Things constantly change, within ourselves and the world around us. I'm glad Bailey is back and that he made more wonderful memories of the Grand Canyon and shared them with us. Never say never....and if you do, know its ok to change your mind.
