Medication takes away my cramps. Maybe yours needs adjusting?

I am in the same boat, I will ask my Nero when I see her in 3 weeks and advise what I find out.

I don't think people understand how much they hurt.

Whilst medication may indeed be appropriate, something I learned years ago (before PD came to pay a visit) was that keeping fluids going was ver important. Nothing substantial, but a glass of water to make sure I didn't dry out.

If I do go tyo bed without having drunk anything for a while it is guaranteed that I will have excrutiating leg pains during the night.

My mom has cramps too. Regular massage therapy has helped. If you are in NH, I know a Licensed Massage Therapist who specializes in working with people who have PD. If you want his information, you can e-mail me at msfelchy@metrocast.net and I'll be glad to share.

I take Omega 3 Oil and it seems to help me. I also take a supplement with magnesium and potassium in it at night. Check at a good health food store. and ask them about it. Some of the workers are very knowledgeable about supplements. My GP is an integrative MD, so she knew a lot about supplements, but my Neurologist knew nothing. You still need to make sure that they won't interfere with your meds. Your pharmacist should know the answer to that.

Blessings.

Magnesium works wonders for my horrible leg cramps, try adding the supplement to your diet. And some kind of icy/hot rub on the cramp can help.
