If this helps at all, Cheyennesheppard:

(Merely supplement reading till folks come round to answer directly.)

Not much discussion (so far) on 'cannabis' here at American RA Warriors: healthunlocked.com/search/c...

Lots more discussion at NRAS forum: healthunlocked.com/search/c...

& Pain Concern forum: healthunlocked.com/search/c...

& other HU forums: healthunlocked.com/search/c...

Hope this helps in your research, Cheyennesheppard. 🙏

Make sure it has high CBD. You can try stratos. CBD 2:1 it's a pill work also

Health Canada and the Arthritis Society of Canada are funding research into the use of Canabis and Arthritis. Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia is doing this research.

No I've never tried it or wanted to. But I guess some of the Meds I take are just as bad. I read somewhere that it doesn't help RA pain. I don't remember where I read it at. But I don't want to inhale anything into my lungs. I've seen what tobacco does to them.

Actually you can use the oil but I'm not sure if you rub it in you skin, put some under your tongue, but you don't have to smoke it. I think you can still bake it into brownies too, but like I said... illegal here. I tried it one time and took a small puff with some wine. Then I threw up for an hour. I'm a real party gal! ha ha

You dont have to they have a pill form of it.

Nah - Where I am it is illegal, so even if it would help (probably would be yards better than Tramadol) I'll probably not get the chance to find out...

There is another herbal (and legal) option to cannabis. I always hesitate to recommend non-regulated herbs, but I do not know what I would do without this. It's a plant from Indonesia/Thailand called Kratom. I discovered this when in ongoing, excruciating pain from frozen shoulder and was only given Norco by drs. It is generally sold as a powder and can be mixed into tea or juice or taken in gel caps. I put a little in my green tea in the am with organic honey and coconut milk. It is chalky and you need to keep it stirred up. Like Norco, it gives you a sense of well-being, but it also suppresses the pain and it does not make me drowsy or "high." It actual gives me a calm energy. If you try it, you need to be aware that it is not well researched. From what I have found, there is some concern that it may affect the liver - but so does every other approved medication I've been given! My fear is it will be made illegal, big pharm will make a prescription drug out of it and jack up the price, and the government will regulate it.

Kratom is sold in some smoke shops - an actual Kratom store just popped up near me in Chicago. I've purchased all of mine through Kratom Trading online and they have tons of customer reviews re: help with pain. I've come to trust the quality (this is not a commercial and I have no stock in this company!). I tried smoking cannabis twice as a teen and the effect was not good. I have no interest in it and no interest in smoking anything. Good Luck everyone :-j

Per usual, Cheyennesheppard, kindly consider thoroughly researching 🤓 any product you're thinking about ingesting/ acquiring (safety, quality, etc.) & double checking with your rheumatologist/ physicians 👥 to ensure anything you intend to ingest does not conflict with any meds 💉 💊 you're currently taking or your current health condition(s) 🤕 🤒 😷 . And, per usual, be careful/ cautious 🤔 when buying anything via internet requiring sharing credit card/ PayPal/ etc. details.

Kratom is legal in the US. If you're not near an urban area, go to kratomtradingco.com/ - you can order smaller, sample packs of various strains to see if it works for you. I've used the Energizing blend and also the Thai Red. I can't imagine living without it....
