lumps under the skin are they called atheros ? and what can you do to get rid of them ?

I think if you reduce your blood cholesterol levels, the body may slowly remove the atheros - that's what happened to the small yellow/grey flecks I had in my eyes.

Oh and I just remembered that I thought they were called xanthoma, not atheros, so maybe we're talking about different things. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xanthoma

hi when you say lower your blood cholesterols is that with statins ?

The xanthoma is part of what i have Palmar xanthomata and tuboeruptive xanthomata (over knees and elbows) occur in Type III hyperlipidaemia but they have gone .

i also have raised lumps under my skin which move i was led to believe they are there because of my high cholesterol but yesterday the specialist said they are nothing to do with high cholesterol so what are they ,could you help as the professionals dont seem to know my doc mentioned lipomas .
