One of the hardest things I am having to deal with is deputy power of Attorney, there is enough stress caring for a loved one with dementia, without the hassle of legal form filling, which is not easy as you get older, I would like some discussions on shelf with this matter.

I know it costs but a solicitor would sort this,out..and he came to my home when I needed to get this for my late husband..good luck, it’s a relief when it’s sorted out..I think you can do it on line, but being a legal thing I was happier to get a solicitor ....Maybe Citizens advice may help you also. Good luck.

My husband is cared for by me. I understand that he is classed as a veteran and as such is entitled to some financial support. He suffers from Parkinson's and is no longer able to leave the house because of mobility problems.

What can be done for an older person with severe emphysema, other than lung reduction, transplant and stem cell treatments and who has bone marrow cancer which rules out all conventional treatments?

I would like to learn more about navigating the care system because I found it complex when I was a caregiver. I would like to simplify it when I give instructions to my children in case I ever need a caregiver. So far, nearing 87, I do not need one. I live in a safe independent living facility and make my own medical arrangements.

We have seen enough experts over the last 15 years both for my husband's Parkinson s and My cancer. Speaking to others who go through the same as us has given us the best tools to live with this decease. Navigating the Healthcare system is a nightmare. The best advice our there has come from others who have gone through it. Getting advice from experts in the Healthcare system is futile. We can Google all expert opinions and scientific studies many of whom do not agree. It would be nice if a lot of the good tips and advice from others could be put together in a book.
