As a carer, it is important to make time for yourself. What activities have you taken up while caring for a loved one?
Please select all that apply:
I find it difficult to find time for myself. My disabled husband is housebound and that makes me housebound too as he relies on my help for all support as his sole carer.
I know exactly how you feel. Unless someone has been in your situation they don't understand. If I had to select one thing which helped me it was talking to others in the same situation. My husband passed away almost 3 weeks ago and now I feel lost. When I get through this I will have to go and join a club or two.

I am so very sorry Marie_14. It is very early days and you must be weary. I think you need to give yourself time to grieve and build up your energy levels.
There are sure to be other ladies who have experienced similar bereavements and they will be sure to want to help you at such a sad time as now.
Sending a gentle (((hug))) to you today. xx
I try and support my elderly parents as much as I can they are 90yrs and mum is 87, my brother has learning difficulties as has my son...... I am the only family member living close by, I support every day and is often wished I could have just one Me day....or my other brother and sister could come and help out a lot more than they have.......( that's my private thoughts).....I often struggle with my own health issues....after my careing role and dutys I often need to rest due to fatigue.....Not easy on your own, my wife past away at a young age 42yrs and always had a careing role in my life....widower young and two young children to raise on your own and a full time job to support us ....... Indeed it can be very difficult and time restrictive....xx
Security, you have certainly got more than enough on your plate to cope with every day.
Trying to cut yourself into small pieces can't be easy and will leave you exhausted I'm sure.
One day at a time is how I cope. Some days (and nights) are better than others, and I think you will know that feeling only too well. Hoping that you can get the little "Me time" you need.
