I went to the hospital on Friday to get my leg wraps changed and I got a new nurse this time I didn’t know her she was very rude and she actually told me to takeoff my own bandages and I have a bad spine a bad hip and broken toes in my left foot and a broken knee, 2 torn shoulders and extreme pain which I told her and she said all my patients I get them to do it there self so she made me do clean my own legs I couldn’t reach because I have two torn shoulders my spine was in agony my hip was in agony I had to lift my leg and left leg up and bend it sideways trying to clean it when I’m doing her job and I told her I’m in a lot of pain tried to tell her what I had wrong with her I said didn’t you read my chart she didn’t answer me and I said oh well I’m in a lot of pain she just goes yeah! Nurse didn’t care. I had my third and fourth metatarsal bones in my left foot are broken from before and they split and they’re laying side-by-side I should had screws put in and the doctors Said they can’t do that. well she kept pushing my toes straight up and now my left foot is so swollen and it throbs and it’s numb. My spine is in agony my legs are in agony and to make matters worse she use the stuff they use under cast to wrap my leg my skin is itchy my skin is raw Like hamburger and this nurse continued to make me do everything on my own including put my own stockings on over the wraps and my legs were not prophet cleaned with the medical cleaner and cream for my skin. Imagine telling a nurse you’re in pain that she’s causing more of and I still have not recovered and this was on Friday the nurse did not care. I left there so upset with the lady in the next bed getting the proper care and I’m suffering crying, where I usually have the same nurse every time and she does an awesome job. She wasn’t there on Friday. Friday I was horrified to see this nurse really wasn’t going to do it the only thing she did do was wrap them at the end and even then I had to help her do that which I didn’t mind I don’t mind helping but what I did mine was the terrible treatment I received when the nurse said around here my patients do this themselveswhen I’m going there because the nurses have to do it that’s what I was told. So to make a long story short she causing me undue stress unnecessary pain which I’m still suffering from and I’m sitting here pondering if I want to continue to go through with these treatments as I’ve been going through it for over two months now almost 3 and putting up with raw hamburger for the tops of ankles in dented skin from the wraps raw skin sides of my toes are the skins rubbed off and they haven’t quit hurting. Going to have to get an x-ray becauseI’m pretty sure that my toes that were completely broken are worse and I think a third toe is broken because I can’t move it or bend it because you can’t just take my feet Iand bend them like that. The nurse just had no compassion ( must be in it for the money, as she totally failed as a nurse. just move forward like that when I told her I had broken toes and she continued to do it anyway I am so upset over this incident that it is taking me a long time to calm down from it I keep breathing and tell myself it was a horrible day and write it off as that. When I talk to my RN in my case manager who is one in the same she was out raged to find out the poor treatment I had received and was going to get to the bottom of it and promised it would never happen again. It is only because of my RN and my case manager who is so good to me and takes such good care of me that I’m still doing these treatments because I was going to say forget it’s not worth the pain and not worth the nurse treating me like dirt. So now I got extra pain and I’m suffering because of the nurses unprofessional and unethical way to treat a patient. Like all of you should do I stood up for myself and I took action. Nobody has the right to treat you like that especially a healthcare professional.

Hi Granny B! I hope you’re doing well very well and thank you yeah was a pretty horrible experience and and I hope nobody else ever has to go through that. I just chop it up to you the nurse was a nice obviously she was having issues that she made my issues by treating me the way she did and yes I cried yes I was in lotta pain but at the end of the day I have to write it off as it will bring me down so I have done that and I’ve been thinking on a more positive note and the nurse that came yesterday I had seen her before in the wound clinic she was awesome to get care of me no problems I’ve never had any problems have been doing this for what oh most almost 3 months now I never had a problem until on Friday but it’s over and I’m so glad for that and when I go in the clinic on Friday I get my regular nurse at the clinic and she’s awesome and takes awesome care of me and I’m not gonna let one nasty nurse make me feel inferior. I sure hope you’re doing well my hips not so good I’m not walking too good I may have a fractured hip. I have x-rays but even if they do they can’t fix it as I can’t have no surgeries at all, so I’m really struggling with the pain then they have giving out or the legs giving out and falling down so I’m being very careful still doing my leg exercises in the chair eating healthy gourmet my blood sugars under control and have been for three months now so I know that’s helping there but I am still and you’re in a lot of pain as I’m sure you all are as well and ready be had just hope that you’re having a good day and a good week and feeling good and making the best of everything just like I am in the rest of us I may the Lord protect you watch over you and lessen your pain scratch your fears and I help you to enjoy Life to the fullest amen 🙏 My dear friend.

Awe granny b I agree sunshine ☀️ is awesome and I am so glad you not falling. My pain doc said the reason my right leg is turned to the right when I walk, as it’s my body’s way of compensating the pain. I pray when he sends me for x rays that my hip isn’t fractured. My Lymphedema treatments are working as both my legs from bottom of knee are almost same size that much fluid is gone out of my legs. My left leg is permanently damaged and discolored due to damaged blood vessels and blood flow, but my legs are looking good I thank the lord the medical treatments and my husband helping me through this and having wonderful friends like you granny b! 😇🥰😎🤓💜☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️🙏🙏🙏🙏❤️💜💪🏼
Happy 😃 21st Birthday 🎂 to your daughter. I have a 27 year old daughter and a 24 year old daughter. I miss the baby years too. I just had a visit with my daughter and her man. Both off and they brought me a Tim Hortons coffee(a treat)😊Families are so precious.
