Alfa pump

Has anyone had any experience with the alfa pump, is it available on the NHS or privately, many thanks.

When I was pre transplant and having to have drains every 7/8 days I researched them. I think there might be a case study on the Trust website. I am in the SW and they wouldn’t consider one. Very expensive apparently and I think limited success. If I hadn’t been put on the transplant list I would definitely have pursued it further as I think it would have made my life easier🙏

Hi, thanks for that, we are in the south east, my son isn't well enough to be put on the transplant list, he is currently in hospital and being drained every week, he's very poorly at the moment, I'm just trying to find something to help, very distressing as we aren't allowed to visit.

So sorry to hear that🥺. Definitely worth researching and see if funding is available. I think there’s a way you can apply to your Clinical Commissioning Group and put forward a case, but I don’t know how🙏💜
