You had a post last week or week before about a white coating on your tongue, did you get this checked out by doctor as a white coating on tongue and a bitter taste in mouth can often just be simple symptoms oral thrush which a course of anti fungals would sort out. If you get a prescription I would suggest Nystatin rather than the commonly prescribed Daktarin as it can mess with liver bloods (my hubbies doctors at liver transplant hospital had a hairy fit when they found out hubby had been prescribed Daktarin/Miconazole - very much a no no for liver patients although it isn't clear that you have anything on those lines).

Thank you. Can trouble give you this?

Don't know what you mean by "Can trouble give you this?" - it's a very common fungal infection with all sorts of things that can cause it. NHS page on Oral Thrush at :- nhs.uk/conditions/oral-thru... But I can't say it is that you would need to see a doctor or at least a pharmacist.

Hey there curious about this, how long did you have it for? it's actually the reason that sparked my latest bout of anxiety and caused me to book another fibroscan! I just linked the dry mouth with a known early symptom of ALD and freaked! I was overdue a follow up scan anyway and the £200 can easily be recouped with a period of sobriety! I have a white coated tongue and bitter taste, I taped my mouth up with gorilla tape to force myself to nose breath and the saliva quickly built up in there so not sure if I'm actually dehydrated or that my mouth is dry persay, drinking pints (OF WATER) run through me quick and urine is clear so maybe a fungal mouth situation is actually at fault! Although beer is a source of yeast/abuse lowers immunity so regardless alcohol prob a factor even in the best case scenario.

I always have slight coated tongue and a taste, sometimes bitter. I haven’t touched alcohol for over 3 months so what is it? If you like a drink, maybe good thing to get investigated, sometimes your stomachs just off but doc knows best.

I have deleted a comment posted by another member in reply to your post as although likely to have been meant in jest it could offend others

Yes, I know. I don’t think jokes like that are funny anymore. “Wine o’ clock” and all that. Sure it was meant well to cheer me up though.
