I know how you feel about the waiting for answers. I was diagnosed with anaemia in February which kicked off lot's of blood tests, gastroscopy, colonoscopy and scans which then showed cirrhosis and varices in my liver. I was put on the non urgent waiting list to see a gastroenterologist but it will be a minimum of 20 weeks for an appointment. So I went privately to see a gastroenterologist who works at my local hospital but also sees patients privately. I got to see him the day that I rang to enquire. He arranged for a CT scan and has now referred me for a capsule endoscopy ( both on the nhs). I just want to know what the cause is as I very rarely drink and have never smoked. I do have SVT and have been offered ablation but with all my other issues I really can't face it. Hope you get an answer soon. Deb

Hi

I was diagnosed with Nash in 2016 which was caused by meds given to be by my GP. I hadn't had regular blood tests which I should have done!! I get so much pain with it which is caused by the capsule around the liver as the liver itself doesn't have any nerves but the capsule does so once the liver becomes enlarged it stretches the capsule. Hope you both feel better soon. Love and hugs Lynne xxxx

Hi Sue

Why is having an MRI a down side?. I would say YIPEE I’m being looked ar properly! I think MRI scans are the bees knees (polite version 😀).

You are right about finding out whats going on, I hope it’s all good for you 👍🏻

Get really panicky in the mri had one for my heart in July that's how they noticed my liver problem. That's why I'm really glad things are moving at last just another hill to get over. Trying to keep positive but some days are easier than others especially while they are still trying to sort heart meds out some days I feel unwell.
