From having a very quick internet search following your post it would seem that any bacterial infection in someone with decompensated cirrhosis is very serious as it can worsen the level of decompensation. If you currently have a UTI and are already showing ascites and other symptoms of decompensation I would be URGENTLY seeing a doctor for some treatment. It could even require hospitalisation for treatment. Don't put it off, either contact out of hours doctors or your GP practise first thing in the morning.
