Unusual for health site...but go on then! Am crocheting a blanket in colour of North York moors

That sounds gorgeous, I can picture it. My son was there (Thirsk)when he was in the army and we got to know the area.

I learned to crochet this year, it came hard at my age and it’s radically different to knitting.

I’ve knitted since I was a child, I’m sure I read somewhere that knitting/crochet are good for our brainsaswe age

Not a knitter or into crochet, but have done a bit of diamond painting - google it. Poor eyesight means I rarely do much crafting these days.

Crikey, that looks amazing 😉

I'm knitting myself a fair isle jumper: in my favourite colours: deep turquoise, amber/orange, mustard/chartreuse and pale blue. Sounds awful but looks lovely (im(not so) ho)! The pattern is from the 'Japan' knits book by Marianne Isagar. I only started knitting just over a year ago ... did some baby bootees and a '4 oblongs' jumper ... but then I decided to have a go at something serious. My friend thinks I'm mad to try to do something so complicated so soon, but I wanted a challenge and after a steep learning curve (with much colour and tension swatching, plus unravelling!) it is now becoming second nature - and I adore the look of it.

I think it’s great that your challenging yourself and the nicest thing I’ve seen on an online pattern this year was a colour combination that you would never think of. Fair Isle is beautiful but I’ve never had the chance to do a jumper

I am knitting dresses for my granddaughters dolls.A bit complicated as you knit them in one piece from the neck down🤔

O good luck to you, I’ve been looking at fisherman’s gansey jumpers, they’re done the same way. Are you knitting on circular needles?

No I've been putting stitches on one though and then knitting the sections I at a time
