Not a patient of alcohol services but understand the stigma still attached to this illness. Non judgmental information always appreciated

Seeing people rush to make it clear they haven't used alcohol services ,speaks volumes about why people feel to ashamed to reach out for help and end up suffering. The stigma is evidently real , even on here. Here's an idea- we just ignore the survey if it doesn't apply to you!

Not a patient of alcohol services, considering your stamp out the stigma campaign are you assuming as I had a liver transplant it's because of alcohol, I have never drunk alcohol.

It's not directed at you personally! People's defensive reactions illustrate the stigma that people struggling with addiction face.

I have cirrhosis, and have US's 6 monthly, and Gastroscopies 2 yearly. I haven't touched alcohol since diagnosis 8 years ago, and I my liver is quite damaged, but stable.
