I noticed my breasts are very tender, and I can't tell if it's my period or a large lump. Help?

Tenderness and heaviness is common a few days prior to periods. And they usually subside after periods are over. If there is a lump, it will not go away after periods. This is one way to distinguish it. Secondly, if it's there in both the breasts and not only one, it is more likely to be related to periods, so please do not worry. I suggest, you wait a while and re assess yourself after a week or two and you will know. If, by chance you feel that the lump still persists, then it would be advisable to get it checked from your doctor.
