Any recommendations? I'm looking to go on holiday in November or December.

I'll have finished treatment by then, but do I need to list pre existing condition?

Thanks and take care

Sami 😊

Try Stay Sure Travel Insurance, I’ve had a very favourable quote for a years European/Cruise Cover.

I think it sky rockets when you want to go to the US

Let us know how you get on as it’s helpful for others too

Good Luck

Hi Sami01,

When I recently tried to get insurance during treatment I struggled, but once I had finished and only on tamoxifen it was a lot easier. I have an underactive thyroid as well so not sure if that made a difference. You do need to list pre existing conditions especially recent ones. if you don't and they then find out it invalidates your insurance. Hope this helps.

Hello Memories. How are you?

Treatment will be finished by then. I will be starting Zoledronic acid and Letrozole on the next month, should I list those with the pre existing conditions? As well as listing down breast cancer?

Thats definitely helps, thanks.

Take care Sami 😊

Hi Sami01, when I called my insurance and told them I had had breast cancer and the lump had been removed and I was now getting radiotherapy and taking tamoxifen they said they couldn't insurance me? 2 weeks later when I had finished my radiotherapy I called back and told them that I was now finished treatment and was only on tamoxifen and they now said they were happy to insure me. I did ask if they had to list the breast cancer since I had had all my treatment and they told me anything on my doctor's notes they need to know about. This could just be my insurance company and might be better with the ones suggested?

Hope this helps and you do get away on holiday. I went 3 weeks after my treatment finished and it was the best thing I could have done. Good luck with the rest of your treatment. x

Good Morning....first well done and congratulations for getting through your treatment ...We went to South Africa after my treatment ....I paid a small amount extra during treatment on my bank account travel insurance to go to spain, but phoned after treatment and didn't have to pay anything as It was all done ...so I reckon you just buy normal travel insurance .. unless your on any tablets ..I would just mention it when you but it ....if you have bank account travel insurance give them a ring and tell them ....good luck and enjoy your well deserved holiday .....Jane ..xxx

I used' insurance with'. I had completed my treatment and the quote was really good for a european cruise. I never had to claim though.

Hi Sami

I used Insurance With, I found them very good as I had only recently finished chemo and radiotherapy and am still having herceptin injections. I also had a few complications that I had to tell them about. I was suprised how reasonable it was. The company was set up by a lady who had breast cancer and had difficulty getting travel insurance. Tell them everything as you need to make sure you have cover.

All the best

Jackie

Brilliant I'll try Insurance With too. 😎
