Hello all :)
Hi hlp54It’s quite normal to be overthinking. In fact you’ve got to process it all….and in a brain which is still healing. You will do though. You’ll come through the other side. I’m now 4 years past my two exploding aneurysms and boy it takes a while to accept what’s happened.
Firstly I’d say remember to keep well hydrated. It’s amazing the difference that makes. Secondly maybe consider using the neuropsychology service. I found that to be extremely helpful in just comparing where you are and how different you are to how you’d hoped to be and learning strategies to cope with and adapt to the changes.
If you’re a Facebook person then look up ‘Subarachnoid haemorrhage group a space for you’. It’s another very supportive group and it’s especially for sah survivors. You’d find a lot of help there too. You may even find people in your area if you felt like being sociable.
Maybe ask for help with sleeping if you’re not doing so well. A few nights off with sleepers can work wonders. Have you got support at home? Just reach out. There are lots of us around. We’re survivors. Sometimes it might feel like an uphill struggle with scary times, but you’re still here. Sending you big hugs. Stay strong my friend xx
OMG thank you for your amazing msg I defo need neuropsychology. I have also been drinking a lot of tea and water yes it makes me feel better and my sis came over from Arizona to help me which was great and so good to hear you are 4 years thank god and I do also know how lucky I am to be here and will try hard to be more positive.
