Headaches are awful

Hi everyone, firstly can I just say that before my operation I have waited in the wings reading a whole lot of inspirational posts and a bit of reality what to expect. I had an unruptured left middle cerebral aneurysm which was an incidental find from an MRI scan on my shoulder. My aneurysm was treated 4 days ago with 11 coils and a stent. Within 4 hours of the operation I was up and about no problems at all not even a headache, in fact I was so well I went home the next day after an MRI scan. Yesterday and today I have been hit with the most terrible pressure type headaches and extremely lethargic all my get up and go has completely left me. Is this normal or even consistent with anyone elses experience??

I had coiling and stent inserted last October and the first night had the mother of all headaches. Was fine next day but didn’t get out until following day because of issues with entrance wound in groin. But give your GP a ring if headaches persist. I had headaches on and off for quite a while and my eye sight deteriorated until left eye quarter blind and right half blind. Ok now but scary at time. All the best

Thanks Merc that helps a lot, speaking about eyesight I bet that was really scarry for you, I have been a bit more lucky just a small floater in my eye and slightly blurry feeling got an appointment at the opticians today so hope everything goes smoothly. Thanks again Merc

I had 2x coiling done October 2019 due to SAH and I used to get headaches intermittently and now it's alot better. Recovery for a brain injury is different for everyone 18 months on and I still have speech and balance issues. My eyesight also went blurry as well. Everyday is different and like Merc14 says you can always call your GP if you are worried 👌

Thanks Zena

To be honest the headaches are subsiding and down to a few a week now.
