Never give up hope

I received letter from neuroradiologist, regarding my scan, in November. My aneurysm was very large and pressing on my brain stem, I was limited to surviving up to five years, this was my prognosis as there was nothing they could do, and safer to leave alone, however my report from last scan shows my large aneurysm has actually shrunk, and does not appear to be filling with blood and at the moment is very encouraging, but word of caution it can be unpredictable in nature, but at the moment I will take this. So to anyone out there with anything similar, there is always hope and never give up, love Alice xx

Thanks Alibongo60. Lovely to hear such a positive story. I have a brain AVM, which is reasonably similar to an aneurysm. It is large and untreatable (due to its location) without risk of serious other deficit. Fortunately for me though it doesn't seem to cause many issues at the moment and I can live a near-to-normal life. It is stable and isn't growing. I have resisted the urge to try invasive treatments as I don't want to make things worse for myself. Very best wishes
