Hello and ... Happy New Year,

I have a single new year resolution : me first. I finally understood that, if I am not fine or happy with myself, I will never be able to be with others.

So this is just one, selfish resolution, but a huge one if I succeed !

Love from france

Take care of yourselves,

O

Just aim to live a healthy ( as possible ) life each day, usually a balance between effort and ease… not easy but awareness of how I spend my time definitely helps.

Happy New Year to you all there.

One should ration their time to the ultimate degree. Consider it as more valuable than gold and act accordingly. Don't spend time on anything that does not pay its way.

Get it clear in my head first. Make sure it's achievable and agree with myself that there will be no exceptions or excuses.

I resumerend my indoorrowing, pilates and dogwalking after the calorie periode in December, knowing how important it is for my PMR to stay mobile and at the right BMI.

Although it is not a new years resolution, I have taken steps for help with the NHS to stop smoking and they have given me patches and an inhaler every time I feel I need a cigarette, So far I have gone from 40 cigs a day to 15/20 a day

Oh!! Happy new year to you all

Great😇 Please continue on your quit smoking journey for yourself first,. It will also benefit your loved ones 🙏. I have lost a few loved ones to lung cancer. I went to a funeral yesterday for my mom's friend from Public School who lives on the same floor😪. She died from smoking since she was a teenager. She died from lung cancer at the age of 87. A friend who tried to quit smoking after smoking for around 4 decades died in March of 2023 from lung cancer😪. My aunt, and another of my mom's friends died many years ago also from lung cancer😪😪. Also my cousin who was the son of my aunt who died many years ago from the same lung cancer, he also died of lung cancer 3 years ago😪. This is an addiction that many can't beat. I thank GOD my mom quit smoking 35 Years ago😇 I bring a bouquet of flowers around every July 10th of each year😇. My dad quit smoking after developing COPD, and asthma almost 15 years ago thank GOD. I know you will overcome 😇🙏

I go along with the philosophy that if you don’t make any New Year resolutions then you can never break any. Simple! Just promise to do your best in everything you do.

To take better care of my health. I had a fall in Sept and then found I have osteoporosis. So, this year is one of strengthening my body to care for me as best as possible.

My goal is to strength train for 50 minutes twice a week and do a 20 minute core routine twice a week. I made a pact with my son and his wife who have similar goals and we text or talk every week to hold each other accountable. We did this last year and I maintained my resolve and focus and I'm guessing I reached my goal 90% of the year.

NO New years resolutions are there purely to be broken, before you even begin to start them...If you really want to give something a shot, then do it. Don't hang around waiting for a certain month to begin. It's old school and outdated! If for people who havnt got there own brain, so follow the footsteps of others and join them to failure. Sorry to be so blunt, but I'm just stating the facts. (Dry January)? Who even made this up? What about February? Just drink/eat twice as bad, as you've managed to eat nuts and leaves for the last 4 months and are probably doing your body a lot more bad than good...something to think about peeps 😂

To try and make myself happy. Avoid toxic environment and people. Get closer to God and serve him better. I'll try my best to achieve my purpose. I may not get it 💯 but I'll do my best.

Work less, spend more time with family. Cut back on the things that are bad for me (diet/drink wise). And enjoy every moment. Remember tomorrow isn’t promised so live for today. Let my love ones know I love them! And try not to stress over my health (this will be the hardest)! Happy New Year! Good luck to all of us that 2024 is a great year!!!

I keep intending to make the same resolution and stick to it. Maybe I'll try again this Lent!

My New Year’s Resolution is merely to take time to slow down and listen to my body. Rest when i need to instead of going flat out all the time. To stay smiling and not to dwell on what can’t be changed.

To keep up with the laundry and not let it pile up.

I don't wait for a new year to make some promise that's likely to fall apart. When I see something I want to change, I make an effort to better myself, whatever the time of year- for the 'right' reasons, hopefully :)

My New Years resolution for 2024 is to celebrate both the tenth anniversary of my life being saved by ECMO treatment, and seventy years of living on this lovely planet, by completing an Ultra Marathon. in October.

I want to stop procrastinating. I want to make time to read my Bible. I want to work out earlier in the morning 3 times a week as opposed to 2 times a week at night.🙏😇

Well I'm not feeling a bad student syndrome but I just wanted to share my thought process: not to throw myself a pity party but as an autistic adult (or very large kidult), and possibly AUDHD, I have a tendency to only have two mode:

1. Fall into a strict regimented routine that is easy and confortable but with it's downsides such as lower tolerance for energy demanding task such as incorporating or abandoning a habit

2. Chaos. No seriously, it's the brain going haywire I do know and try to do the more important/urgent things but as I am in flexibility/responsive mode I rely on social, and visuals cues to organise my actions.

SO for this year I haven't taken resolutions, I am simply overhauling by changing environment by moving to Japan so I am forced to change out of the slump, but it IS and will be managed by creative chais and hopefully getting a better hold of freelancing until I am at a point where I decided what the of life and routine I want/need to establish.

But I do enjoy my iPhone bullying me into managing my sleep and journaling. By the way, it's 2 AM, guess it's bedtime soon

In 2020, before pandemic declared, I resolved to do several different things every day. I'd been retired a few years, and had moved from my house to a condo in 2019 and was looking for ways to fill my days. I usually had something to do outside home every weekday. My resolutions January 2020 were to, every day, play piano, sing for 15 minutes, read aloud for 15 minute (these two to avoid losing my voice), learn languages on Duolingo, practice tai chi, draw a picture. I also resolved to work on a set of needlepoint pictures started in 1993 and finish them. That last task was completed, including professional framing, last year! They are versions of some William Morris designs, which I'd planned to use as dining room chair covers but I don't even own that dining set any more! There are six altogether, two each of three designs and now each of my three children has one in their home, and will get a second one when I shuffle off this mortal coil. To replace that task this year I dug out my creative lettering books and started relearning how to do that.

This list turned out to be a lifesaver early in the pandemic, and still today because whenever I'm at a loose end I just do one of my daily tasks! It helps that they are all enjoyable and slightly challenging but not so difficult or time consuming that I become discouraged.
